BREAKING: Kwam 1 Bags FG Appointment Days After Airport Fracas

Fuji music icon Kwam 1, also known as Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, has been appointed as an ambassador for airport security protocol by the Federal Government. This comes just days after a heated altercation on a ValueJet flight led to a temporary flight ban for the singer.

The Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, announced the appointment following consultations with aviation stakeholders. The incident on August 5 involved Kwam 1 allegedly refusing to surrender a flask suspected of containing alcohol, claiming it was prescribed medication.

The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority initially petitioned the police over the matter, prompting criticism of leniency. Following a review, Kwam 1's flight ban was reduced to one month, and he will now work with the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to promote airport protocol compliance.

Two ValueJet pilots linked to the incident were also suspended for a month, while another individual involved, Comfort Emmanson, was banned for life from Ibom Air and remanded in Kirikiri.
