Dickson Defends NDC Leadership Amid Criticism

Seriak Dickson, a leader of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed recent criticisms directed at the party's leadership and his choice not to run for the presidency. In an interview, Dickson stated that no one is doing the NDC a favor and emphasized that the party serves as a vehicle for politicians rather than a platform for individual favors.

He dismissed suggestions that the party is reliant on new entrants like Peter Obi for survival, asserting that genuine support for Obi would undermine the party's leadership. Dickson also referenced the recent defections of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to the NDC, which he characterized as valuable for mobilization but not indicative of the party's strength.

He reiterated the importance of maintaining party structure and control, particularly in light of recent appointments, including Agada Abuh and Theophilus as the new media strategy directors.
