BREAKING: Obasanjo threatens to drag EFCC to Court over Hotel Raid

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has threatened to take legal action against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a raid on his Presidential Library in Abeokuta. The raid, which occurred on Sunday, August 10, 2025, involved around 50 armed men, purportedly EFCC agents, led by an individual named Olapade.

The operation caused chaos and panic among guests and residents, with several people injured while trying to flee. The management of the Obasanjo Presidential Library accused the EFCC of invading the premises without a warrant and infringing on their rights as a corporate citizen.

They have demanded an explanation, apology, and appropriate sanctions for the incident. The EFCC has been urged to investigate the invasion, with the matter set to be taken to the highest authorities, including the police and the Department of State Security (DSS).
