Gunmen Attack Bus in Plateau, Multiple Passengers Killed

On the night of the incident, gunmen attacked a bus in Plateau state, killing multiple passengers and injuring others. The attack occurred around 9:40 p.m. when the bus driver, identified as Ibrahim, stopped to drop off passengers at a junction.

Lawan Suleiman, a neighbor and teacher of one of the victims, confirmed that three victims were from the Bukuru community, and their bodies were taken to the hospital for collection by relatives for burial. Rwang Tengwong, spokesman for the Berom Youth Moulders, also verified the incident, stating that among the deceased was a member of Operation Rainbow.

He lamented the loss of lives and noted that some passengers sustained gunshot wounds and were rushed to hospitals, where some later died. As of the time of reporting, the Plateau state police command had not issued a statement regarding the attack.
