Police Arrest Father of Alleged Fake PFIPC Director

Femi Falana, a senior advocate in Nigeria, condemned the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for arresting the father of Princ Adeyemi Adeniyi, who is alleged to be a fake director general of the Fiscal Infrastructure Project Council (PFIPC). The arrest occurred during a raid at the family home in Ogbomoso, where the police reportedly took the father into custody without legal justification.

Falana stated that there was no legal basis for the arrest and emphasized that the young man, Princ Adeyemi Adeniyi, had promised to appear in court. He criticized the police's actions as an intimidation tactic and highlighted the ongoing legal proceedings concerning the PFIPC, which is accused of operating without legal backing.

Falana also pointed out that the president of the PFIPC, Princ Adeniyi, faces criminal charges, including forgery and impersonation related to these allegations.
