Tinubu Appoints Ayo Fayose as REA Chairman and Others

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the appointment of Ayo Fayose as the new chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) on Monday. This decision was communicated through a statement issued by the President's Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Alongside Fayose, notable appointments include Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engin Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta as members of the REA board. The board will also include the agency's incumbent Director General, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, and three executive directors previously appointed by President Tinubu.

Other significant appointments include Junaid Bindawa as chairman of the National Salaries and Wages Commission, with eight members serving on the commission. Additionally, Dr.

Mai Adamu Yau from Borno State and Ginika Florence from Enugu State were appointed to various commissions. The appointments reflect a strategic move by President Tinubu to fill key positions across federal agencies.
