Isaac Fayose Declines Tinubu's Rural Electrification Role

Isaac Fayose announced on Facebook that his brother, Ayo Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, will not accept the appointment as chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency, which was offered by President Bola Tinubu. Isaac expressed his discontent with the appointment, stating that Ayo deserves a more significant role in the Tinubu administration, especially since he has served as governor twice.

He criticized the lack of ministerial or ambassadorial positions given to Ayo, comparing it to the appointment of Reno Omokri, who received an ambassadorial role. Isaac further advised Ayo to focus on family responsibilities instead of accepting the chairmanship, which he believes does not reflect Ayo's political stature.

Despite maintaining a cordial relationship with President Tinubu, Ayo Fayose had previously declined the appointment, which was part of a larger announcement involving 26 appointments across 10 federal agencies.
