Senate Confirms Muttaqha Rabe Darma as Minister

On Thursday, the Nigerian Senate confirmed Muttaqha Rabe Darma as a minister, following his nomination by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday. This confirmation allows Darma to join the Federal Executive Council, taking over the role from the former Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahm Musa Dangiwa.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio announced the confirmation during a plenary session, where he referred to the President's communication and directed the nomination to the Committee of the Whole for consideration. The Senate was prompt in its response, ensuring that Darma's appointment as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund was expedited.
