Senate Confirms Muttaqha Rabe as Minister in Nigeria

The Nigerian Senate confirmed the appointment of Muttaqha Rabe as a minister during a plenary session on Wednesday. This confirmation followed a formal letter sent by President Bola Tinubu seeking approval for Rabe's appointment.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio presided over the session, where Dr. Darma raised questions regarding strategies to tackle the current housing crisis affecting the country.

Additionally, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Obehi Air Okafor as co-chairman of the governing council for an unclaimed fund trust. The session also included the passage of a bill to establish a pension board and amend the Pension Reform Act of 2026, which aims to reform the contributions to the pension scheme and reconstitute the board overseeing it.
