Tinubu Suspends Three Perm Secs Over Fake Agency Scandal

On Friday, President Bola Tinubu directed the immediate arrest and suspension of three federal Permanent Secretaries—M S Danjuma, Engr Nadungu Gagare, and Richard Pheelangwah—over their alleged involvement in a fake agency identified by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC). ICPC Chairman Dr Musa Adamu Aliyu revealed this after briefing President Tinubu on the commission's findings regarding fictitious agencies.

The newly uncovered entity, named the National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office, had allegedly secured unauthorized office space within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF). This discovery follows the earlier exposure of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

The ICPC is investigating how this agency operated from government premises and the roles of the suspended officials. President Tinubu's actions are part of a broader initiative to strengthen governance and enhance scrutiny of public sector processes.
