Makinde's 2027 Campaign to Prioritize Nigerians' Interests

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State stated that his campaign for the 2027 presidential election will emphasize putting the interests of Nigerians first, transcending political, ethnic, and religious divides. In his latest newsletter, he described the start of the campaign as a national conversation about Nigeria's future and the necessary leadership.

Makinde's campaign, titled "The Reset Agenda," aims to address critical issues such as security, the economy, the cost-of-living crisis, and food security. He plans to travel across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones to engage with stakeholders, listen to their concerns, and present his ideas.

Makinde stressed the importance of assessing candidates based on their records and capacity to deliver rather than superficial slogans. He referenced the recent Osun State governorship election, noting the increased voter turnout and its significance for democracy, which he described as a victory for the people of Osun State.
