Tinubu Orders Arrest Over Fake Agency in Government Office

President Bola Tinubu has mandated the immediate arrest of George Buchi Nwabueze and the suspension of three permanent secretaries, M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare, and Richard P.

Pheelangwah, following the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission's (ICPC) discovery of a fraudulent agency. This agency, named the "National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office," was found to be operating illegally within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation without presidential authorization.

Dr Musa Aliyu, Chairman of the ICPC, revealed that the investigation into this fake office was part of a broader inquiry initiated by President Tinubu regarding procedural weaknesses in the public service. Nwabueze was identified as the promoter of the fake agency and was found to be using multiple aliases.

The ICPC has been directed to continue its investigations into this matter.
