Tinubu Suspends Three Officials Over Fake Agency Scandal

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has suspended three permanent secretaries—M.S. Danjuma, Nadungu Gagare, and Richard P.

Pheelangwah—and ordered the immediate arrest of George Buchi Nwabueze. This action follows the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission's (ICPC) discovery of a fraudulent agency named the “National Brands Development and Made-in-Nigeria Special Project Office,” which was operating without presidential approval within the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (OSGF).

Dr Musa Aliyu, SAN, the ICPC Chairman, revealed that Nwabueze was identified as the promoter of this fake agency and was found to be using multiple variations of his name. The ICPC's ongoing investigations into fictitious government agencies led to this revelation, prompting the President to take decisive action against those involved.

The ICPC is continuing its investigations into this matter.
