Brigadier General Omo Braimo Buried with Military Honors

On April 15, Brigadier General Omo Braimo and other soldiers were laid to rest at Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri, Borno State, with full military honors. The burial ceremony was attended by notable figures including Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume, and retired General Christoph Musa, among other senior military officers and family members of the deceased.

Statements released via official social media highlighted the sacrifices made by the fallen soldiers, describing them as true patriots who stood firm in the face of danger and made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety of others. The event served as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid by daily members of the armed forces in safeguarding peace and security in Nigeria.

The military personnel had previously been involved in operations at a base in Benisheikh, Borno State, during an attack on Camp 29 of the Task Force Brigade Hadin Kai.
