Bruno Fernandes Wins PFA Player of the Year Award

Bruno Fernandes was awarded the PFA Men’s Player of the Year for the 2025-26 season, marking the first time a Manchester United player has received this honor since Wayne Rooney in 2010. During this season, Fernandes achieved a remarkable 21 assists, breaking the Premier League assist record.

Additionally, he also won the FWA Footballer of the Year award. The Women’s Player of the Year award was given to Khadija Shaw of Manchester City, who scored 21 goals in 22 league appearances, making her the first female player to win three consecutive Golden Boots.

The Men’s Young Player award went to Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly, while Arsenal’s Olivia Smith won the Women’s Young Player award for the second consecutive season. The PFA Premier League Team of the Year included four Arsenal players and Bruno Fernandes, along with other notable players.

Hayden Hackney won the Championship Player award, while Dom Ballard and Aaron Drinan received awards in League One and League Two, respectively.
