Bruno Fernandes Wins PFA Award, Voted for Arsenal Player

Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, disclosed that he voted for an Arsenal player for the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) Players’ Player of the Year award before winning the accolade himself. This revelation came during an interview following the awards ceremony held in Manchester on Tuesday, where Fernandes was honored for his outstanding performance in the 2025/26 season.

He set a new Premier League record with 21 assists, surpassing the previous record of 20 held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. In his acceptance speech, Fernandes expressed that being recognized by fellow players made the award particularly meaningful.

He also reflected on his individual performance, attributing his success to maintaining belief through career ups and downs. Fernandes scored nine goals as Manchester United finished third in the league, securing a spot in the Champions League for the upcoming season.

He acknowledged the club's responsibility to deliver a strong performance in Europe.
