Benue State IDPs Benefit from School Exchange and Orphanage Program

Benue State Emergency Management Agency (BSEMA) enrolled 31 IDP children in an Exchange School Programme and arranged for 14 unaccompanied children to be placed in international orphanages. Additionally, 10 orphans were placed in local orphanages in Benue State.

Dr. James Iorapuu of BSEMA emphasized the initiative's goal of providing education and a brighter future for vulnerable children, including scholarship opportunities.

The program aims to address immediate humanitarian needs and facilitate the safe return of IDPs to their homes, promoting sustainable solutions. The State Government and humanitarian partners are working together to support the reintegration of households affected by displacement.
