Hanan Buhari Dedicates Africa Peace Award to Father

Hanan Buhari, daughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, dedicated the Africa Peace Award to her father during the 100 Notable Peace Icons Africa event held in Marrakech, Morocco. The event was organized by the Davdan Peace Advocacy Foundation in partnership with 100 Notable Peace Icons Africa and attracted political leaders, business executives, and diplomats.

Hanan expressed her gratitude to the organizers, led by Kingslei Amafib, and paid tribute to her father, highlighting his guidance and unwavering belief in women's empowerment. She stated that she would continue to uphold the values instilled in her by her father, emphasizing the importance of integrity, resilience, and selfless service.

The summit recognized individuals contributing to leadership, peacebuilding, and sustainable development across Africa. Other award recipients included Asu Kunemofa, Dozi Nwankwo, and Sindiswa Mzamo.

The ceremony took place at the Palais de Festivals et de Congrès within the Mvenpick Hotel Mansour Eddahbi Marrakech complex.
