Yobe Governor Buni Approves Scholarships for Law Graduates

On Friday, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State approved scholarships for 148 law graduates during a joint meeting of the Yobe State Scholarship Board. The scholarships include a grant of N475,000 and a brand new laptop for each beneficiary, designed to ease the financial burden of law school training and enhance academic performance.

This initiative reflects the administration's commitment to strengthening the education sector and ensuring that every citizen has the opportunity to pursue higher education. Earlier, Dr. Kagu Abubakar, the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Scholarship Board, noted that the total number of law graduates sponsored by Buni's administration since 2020 has risen to 719, contributing meaningfully to the justice sector and national development.

Additionally, the governor approved financial support for 11 candidates undertaking resit examinations at the Nigerian Law School, reaffirming the administration's resolve to ensure no Yobe indigene is left behind in pursuing professional qualifications.
