Burna Boy has emerged as the best-selling African artiste of all time, achieving 14.46 million equivalent album sales, as reported by Chartmasters. This milestone follows his historic performance at the inaugural FIFA World Cup Halftime Show in New Jersey, where he co-headlined with Shakira.

Burna Boy's success is marked by nine entries on the Billboard Hot 100 and a record of 46.84 million global monthly listeners on Spotify. His collaboration with Shakira on the FIFA World Cup anthem “Dai Dai” made him the first African artiste to top both the Billboard Global 200 and the Spotify Global Music Video charts.

The song has garnered over 800 million combined streams across Spotify and YouTube Music, making it the most successful official World Cup anthem. Burna Boy's commercial success extends to being Africa’s best-selling touring artist, and since 2018, he has released five albums, including the highly streamed ‘African Giant’ and ‘Love, Damini’.
