Lawal Garba Urges ABU Students to Uphold Integrity

Lawal Garba, the Chairman/CEO of Trobell International Nigeria Ltd, returned to his alma mater, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) in Zaria, to speak at the second edition of the “Lunch with the Vice-Chancellor” program held at the Yusufu Bala Usman Hall, Main Campus, Samaru. In his keynote address titled “The Lawal Garba Way: Building Enterprises, Creating Opportunities, Transforming Lives,” he shared insights on his journey from a Quantity Surveying graduate to a successful entrepreneur.

Garba emphasized that integrity, excellence, resilience, continuous learning, and relationships are essential for lasting success. He recounted his professional achievements, including being the first graduate to establish a property cost-control function in Nigeria’s banking sector.

Garba highlighted that Trobell Nigeria Ltd built its reputation through competence and trust, noting that credibility often outweighs size in business. He urged students to pursue excellence and maintain integrity, recalling how trust led to multimillion-naira contracts awarded to his firm.
