Bwacha Advocates for Increased Funding for TSU

Former Deputy Senate Minority Leader, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, called on the Taraba State Government to increase funding for Taraba State University (TSU) in Jalingo. This appeal was made during the university's 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th combined convocation ceremony.

Bwacha emphasized the necessity for adequate funding and robust administrative structures to support the university's development. He urged for prudent and transparent management of allocated funds, advocating that resources be directed towards critical infrastructure, improved learning facilities, and enhanced campus security.

Additionally, he called for increased scholarship opportunities for Taraba indigenes, asserting that greater investment in education is vital for expanding access and improving educational quality in the state. Bwacha also paid tribute to the late former governor of Taraba State, Capt. Danbaba Danfulani Suntai, for his foundational role in the university's establishment and growth.

He encouraged collaboration among the state government, university management, and education stakeholders to further enhance the institution's reputation in teaching, research, and community service.
