By-election: INEC presents certificates of return to elected federal lawmakers

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented Certificates of Return to elected federal lawmakers who emerged victorious in the recent by-elections. Among those who received their certificates were Joseph Ikpea from Edo Central Senatorial District, Emma Nwachukwu from Anambra South Senatorial District, and Omosede Igbinedion from the House of Representatives Ovia Federal Constituency.

Senator Ikpea expressed his commitment to improving on the achievements of the Edo State Governor in the Red Chamber. Senator Nwachukwu highlighted his focus on addressing issues such as erosion, health, and education in Anambra South.

He also emphasized the need for collaboration with colleagues to tackle challenges in the zone. The elected lawmakers from different political parties pledged to work together to address various issues affecting their constituencies.

Anambra South Senator Nwachukwu also expressed his desire to attract international and local environmentalists to address the environmental degradation in the area.
