NSCDC arrests two suspects for cable theft in Kogi State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State apprehended two suspects, Habibu Muhammad and Bello Ismaila, for stealing and destroying critical national assets by excavating and removing underground communication cables along Zariagi-Obajana road. The suspects admitted to their involvement in the crime and disclosed information about their criminal network, including selling stolen cables to accomplices for reprocessing.

The NSCDC is intensifying its investigation to apprehend other accomplices. The command has vowed to prosecute the suspects after completing a thorough investigation.

A call for public vigilance against crime was also emphasized.
