Vandals Arrested with Stolen Electric Cables in Nasarawa

On March 6, 2026, at 5:40 AM, the Nasarawa State Police apprehended two suspects, Chigozi Igbokw (41) and Emmanuel John (45), during a routine patrol along Gitata Gunduma Road. The suspects were connected to the vandalism of electric cable poles.

The police, led by Public Relations Officer Ramhan Nansel, disclosed that the patrol team recovered stolen electric cables and an iron cutter, as well as a Hyundai Sonata car allegedly used to transport the stolen items. Following the arrests, the case has been directed by Police State Commissioner Shettima Jauro to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Lafia for discreet investigation and prosecution.
