CAN Denies Rift and Fund Mismanagement Allegations

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), under the leadership of President Archbishop Daniel Okoh, issued a statement on Wednesday denying allegations of a rift within the organization and claims of mismanagement of relief funds intended for persecuted Christians in Northern Nigeria. The association described these allegations as entirely false and misleading, asserting that they neither received nor managed any relief funds, and that no funds were diverted.

CAN emphasized that the narrative suggesting a division along northern and southern lines was unfounded and aimed at eroding public trust and bringing disrepute to the church. They maintained that the organization remains united, with no splits or secessions.

Furthermore, CAN warned that they would take legal action against individuals spreading false information and urged the public and media to disregard such claims, emphasizing the importance of relying on official channels for accurate information.
