Canada Commends NIDCOM for Successful Diaspora Conference

Canada’s Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Carlos Rojas-Arbulú, commended the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) and its NiDEC Planning Committee for successfully hosting a diaspora conference in Canada. In a press statement issued by the Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Rojas-Arbulú described the conference as a significant step in enhancing relations between Nigeria and Canada.

He noted that the event provided a vital platform for increased cooperation and engagement between the two nations. During a courtesy visit to NIDCOM's Chairman and CEO, Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, in Lagos, Rojas-Arbulú praised the organization and the 15-member planning committee for their efforts.

Dabiri-Erewa expressed her appreciation for the positive feedback and thanked Canadian authorities for their support. She affirmed NIDCOM's commitment to fostering stronger ties with the diaspora and creating opportunities for collaboration and national development.

The three-day conference involved high-level officials from both countries and focused on avenues for cooperation and development.
