Enikanolaiye Enhances Collaboration with NIDCOM

On a recent visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, pledged to strengthen collaboration with the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) led by Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa.

The Minister emphasized the Ministry's commitment to enhancing diaspora engagement, formalizing remittance flows, and addressing challenges faced by Nigerians abroad. He reiterated the focus on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 4D Foreign Policy, which prioritizes Development alongside Democracy and Diaspora.

Enikanolaiye highlighted that Development is crucial for job creation, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and poverty reduction. He commended President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for its role in addressing insecurity and fostering economic growth.

The Minister called for a structured system to track diaspora remittances and urged the Nigeria Governors’ Forum to engage with NIDCOM, noting the benefits of coordinated efforts. He acknowledged the successful repatriation of Nigerians from South Africa and urged Nigerian missions abroad to enhance service delivery.
