Nigerian Air Force Launches School Project in Akwa Ibom

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commissioned a newly constructed school project in Edemaya, Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The project includes three fully furnished classrooms and a principal's office, aimed at enhancing educational infrastructure for students unable to secure admission in government secondary schools due to capacity limitations.

The commissioning event featured Air Marshal Sadiq Kelvin Anek, the Chief of Air Staff, who was honored with the traditional title "Ufan Edemaya," meaning "Friend of the People." Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet emphasized the initiative as a deliberate effort to build trust and foster cooperation between the military and host communities. The project is part of NAF's non-kinetic operations nationwide and reflects their commitment to community development.

Retired Air Vice Marshal Iboro Harri Etukudo expressed gratitude for the NAF's support, marking a significant milestone in his 40-year career that began in 1985. The event was attended by various leaders, including Professor Ubong Essien Umoh, who commended NAF's commitment to educational development.
