CCRN Calls for Peace and National Development in Nigeria

During the 2026 Pentecost program held in Abuja, the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Nigeria (CCRN) called on Nigerians to embrace peace and values that foster national development. Rev.

Fr. Sebastian Sani, the chaplain of CCRN Abuja Archdiocese, stated that Nigeria requires moral and spiritual transformation to tackle issues such as insecurity, economic hardship, and social unrest affecting citizens.

He noted that the annual Pentecost gathering serves as a platform for discussing critical issues impacting the nation and its future. Mr.

John Bello Onimisi, head of media for CCRN Abuja Archdiocese, highlighted the economic hardships and uncertainties faced by Nigerians, which lead to frustration and stress. He urged citizens to maintain hope and make informed decisions that promote justice and good governance.

The Pentecost celebration, which commemorates the Holy Spirit's descent upon the apostles after Easter, attracted members of the Catholic Charismatic community to pray and discuss the nation's challenges.
