CDS Orders Troops to Intensify Operations in Southern Kaduna

Chief of Defence Staff Olufemi Oluyede has directed troops to intensify their offensive against terrorists in Southern Kaduna, addressing threats such as kidnapping, cattle rustling, and other criminal activities that undermine peace in the region. During a visit to the 2nd Nation Mission Force Brigade located in Samaru Kataf, General Oluyede assessed the combat readiness of the troops and reviewed operational challenges.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of alertness and professionalism among the troops, urging them to sustain momentum in ongoing operations against criminal groups. The visit aimed to evaluate the brigade's operational preparedness and identify areas requiring intervention to enhance military operations in the region.

Captain NN Oj Ekuma reported achievements, including the neutralization of criminals, recovery of weapons, and rescue of kidnapping victims. The Chief of Defence Staff also inspected ongoing defense headquarters projects and directed the provision of additional operational equipment as necessary.
