Defence Chief Urges Troops to Tackle Insecurity in Kaduna

Chief of Defence Staff General Olufemi Oluyede charged troops of the 2nd Brigade to intensify their efforts in addressing insecurity challenges in Southern Kaduna. This directive was issued during his operational visit to the brigade stationed in Samaru Kataf, Kaduna State.

The visit aimed to assess the combat readiness of the brigade in confronting ongoing security threats, particularly terrorism, kidnapping, and cattle rustling. Major General Samaila Uba, Director of Defence Information, provided a statement detailing the visit's objectives.

General Oluyede expressed satisfaction with the troops' alertness and professionalism, urging them to remain committed and innovative in their operations. He also highlighted the need for continued support in terms of equipment and welfare to ensure operational efficiency.

Captain O.J. Ekuma noted the brigade's achievements, including the neutralization of criminals and the recovery of weapons.

The Chief of Defence Staff was accompanied by Major General J.H. Abdussalam and Major General E.F.

Oyinlola during this critical inspection.
