Okonkwo Claims Tinubu Should Be Disqualified as President

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and former presidential campaign spokesperson, stated on Monday that President Bola Tinubu is not qualified to hold the office of President of Nigeria. Okonkwo's assertion stems from unresolved questions regarding the certificates Tinubu submitted during the 2023 presidential election.

He contends that Tinubu failed to meet constitutional requirements related to educational qualifications, specifically noting that no Nigerian can attend a university without five credits at the O’ Level. Okonkwo criticized Tinubu for allegedly providing a foreign university certificate from Chicago State University (CSU), which the institution has publicly stated did not originate from it, without presenting his secondary school certificate.

This controversy has persisted since the election, gaining international attention during legal proceedings in the United States concerning Tinubu's academic records. Okonkwo emphasized the importance of constitutional compliance and the rule of law, insisting that all public office holders must meet legal requirements.
