Okonkwo Claims Tinubu's Chicago State Certificate Is Fake

Kenneth Okonkwo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has renewed his allegations that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s academic credentials, specifically his Chicago State University certificate, are fraudulent. Okonkwo asserts that the certificate submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is not genuine and emphasizes that the focus should be on removing Tinubu from power in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

This controversy has persisted since the 2023 presidential election, where former Vice President Atiku Abubakar sought access to Tinubu’s academic records as part of his legal challenge to the election results. Although Chicago State University Registrar Caleb Westberg confirmed Tinubu's attendance and graduation, he stated that the specific diploma presented by Tinubu to INEC was not in the university's records.

Okonkwo urges Nigerians to prioritize building a political coalition to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and calls for strategic alliances from the South-East to enhance their chances of producing Nigeria's president.
