NSCDC's ACC Onoja Vows to Combat Illegal Mining

Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Attah John Onoja, the Commander of the Mining Marshals of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has committed to intensifying efforts against illegal mining and mineral theft across Nigeria. This pledge follows his receipt of a Meritorious Award from the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, during the National Armourers Retreat and Symposium.

The award recognizes ACC Onoja’s dedication, discipline, and professionalism in national service. He attributed the successes of the Mining Marshals to teamwork and resilience, dedicating the award to his entire team.

ACC Onoja emphasized that the unit's achievements are a collective effort and reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding Nigeria's mineral wealth for future generations. He expressed gratitude to the Commandant General for the recognition and pledged to support the vision of the NSCDC in combating illegal mining activities.
