Chelsea Signs Emiliano Martinez on Three-Year Contract

Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the signing of Argentina international goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa. The 33-year-old goalkeeper has signed a three-year contract with the Premier League club.

Martinez, who was part of Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup-winning team, expressed his excitement about the move, stating that joining Chelsea was an easy decision for him and his family. He emphasized his desire to achieve success at Chelsea, noting that he wants to win and contribute to a club known for its titles.

Martinez pledged to give his best for the club, teammates, and supporters, stating he plays with passion and will give 100% in every game and training session. He began his career in the youth system of Independiente, moved to Arsenal in August 2010, and later joined Aston Villa in September 2020, where he made 256 appearances and won the UEFA Europa League.

At the international level, he has earned 67 caps for Argentina and won the Copa America in 2021 and 2024, as well as the 2022 World Cup.
