Chevron Advocates Collaboration for Nigeria's Energy Future

At the 49th Nigerian Annual International Conference and Exhibition (NAICE) held in Lagos, Mr. Jim Swartz, Managing Director of Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), called for enhanced collaboration among government, regulators, and industry operators to build a resilient oil and gas sector in Nigeria. He stated that the scale of opportunities in Nigeria's energy sector requires collective efforts, as no single entity can address the challenges alone.

Swartz outlined four essential pillars for a resilient energy future: continued investment, enabling long-term policies, competitive local capacity development, and strong partnerships. He emphasized that technology will be a crucial driver for safer operations and improved performance.

Swartz also highlighted Chevron's over six-decade presence in Nigeria, noting the company's significant role in establishing the industry and developing technical capacity. The conference theme was "Thriving in the Evolving Global Energy Landscape: Collaborative Growth and Resilience," focusing on Nigeria's ability to attract capital and sustain production amid global volatility.
