Chevron and NGIC Finalize Escravos Gas Delivery Deal

Chevron and the Nigerian Gas Infrastructure Company Limited (NGIC) have concluded a network entry agreement for gas delivery at Escravos. This agreement establishes a contractual framework required by the Nigerian gas transport network code, governing gas delivery operations and facilitating information exchange between CNL's Escravos gas plant and NGIC's pipeline network.

Jim Swartz, Chairman and Managing Director of CNL, stated that the agreement underscores the commitment of the NNPC and CNL joint venture to safe and reliable gas delivery, which supports Nigeria's broader gas development. Olusoga Oduselu, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer of CNL, noted that the agreement places Nigeria among countries with standardized frameworks for central gas pipeline transport operations.

The agreement reinforces the critical role of gas network operations in ensuring that gas delivery does not compromise safety, integrity, and efficiency within the national gas network.
