Flamingos Crush Guinea 5-0 in World Cup Qualifier

In a dominant performance, the Flamingos triumphed over Guinea with a 5-0 victory in the first leg of the second round of the 2026 Women's World Cup qualifiers. Chidi opened the scoring just one minute into the match, marking the fastest goal in qualifying history.

By the 13th minute, Kemi Adegbuyi of FC Robo Queens extended the lead with a header. Chidi completed her hat-trick before halftime, bringing her total to 25 goals in 17 appearances.

Mari Dustan added a fifth goal in the 56th minute. Despite the convincing win, the Flamingos will honor the second leg encounter against Guinea, scheduled for May 30 at Ikenne Stadium in Ogun State, as they aim to secure their place in the World Cup.
