Chief Imam Accused of Witchcraft Beaten to Death in Kwara, Sparking Community Panic

In Kwara, a Chief Imam was accused of witchcraft and subsequently beaten to death by a mob, leading to community unrest. The incident stemmed from suspicions that the Imam was using spiritual means to harm others.

The police have arrested suspects involved in the attack. Adetoun Ejir Adeyemi of the Kwara State Police Command condemned the brutal act and urged residents to avoid jungle justice.

The slain Chief Imam was laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
