This incident occurred on a Sunday and was captured in a widely shared video that garnered three million views on China's Weibo platform.

The association stated that her actions constituted an obstruction foul, affecting the safe participation of other runners. Additionally, a male runner surnamed Zhang was noted for illegally taking a large quantity of energy gel supplies from a station during the race.

The ban aims to enforce race discipline and maintain a fair competitive environment. This incident follows previous controversies in China's growing marathon scene, including a case where race officials mistakenly blocked the eventual winner from crossing the finish line.
