CIIN President Akinjide Orimolade Unveils Key Agenda

Mr Akinjide Orimolade has been appointed as the 53rd President of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN). His administration will prioritize three key agendas: deepening technology adoption, strengthening insurance awareness, and commencing the construction of the institute’s permanent secretariat.

Orimolade aims to build on the achievements of his predecessor, Mrs Yetunde Ilori, through a three-point agenda termed Technology, Enforcement, and Building (TEB). This agenda is designed to reposition the institute and prepare insurance professionals for the evolving global insurance landscape.

A significant initiative includes completing the transition to hybrid computer-based examinations, allowing candidates nationwide to take professional examinations without geographical constraints. Additionally, the institute plans to establish an InsurTech Learning Hub to facilitate continuous professional development in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence and cyber risk.
