CIPM Commends NYSC Skills Program, Seeks Collaboration

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), represented by its Registrar and Chief Executive, Ms. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, commended the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for its Skills Acquisition Programme during a courtesy visit to the NYSC Director General, Brig.

Naiwo highlighted the visionary reforms and focus on skill development and digital innovation within the NYSC, emphasizing the importance of preparing corps members for the workforce. She expressed interest in supporting the NYSC to consolidate its gains in youth mentorship and empowerment.

Naiwo proposed presenting CIPM's guidance on post-service opportunities to corps members, including workplace experience and career planning. Nafi'u responded positively, indicating the NYSC's readiness to collaborate with organizations focused on youth development and expressing a commitment to strengthen ties with CIPM through a proposed joint technical team.
