CIPM Advocates for Collaboration with NYSC on Mentorship

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), represented by its Registrar and Chief Executive, Ms. Oluwatoyin Naiwo, has expressed a desire for stronger collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to enhance youth mentorship and job creation.

During a visit to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja, Naiwo highlighted the importance of consolidating gains in youth mentorship and empowering the nation's youth. She noted that the CIPM, established by an Act of Parliament in 2004, has around 20,000 certified members, including senior public officials, and operates five zonal offices nationwide, with its headquarters in Lagos.

Naiwo commended the NYSC for its strides in youth mentorship and leadership roles, advocating for a stronger partnership between the two organizations. She proposed that the CIPM present its body during NYSC orientation courses to empower corps members with workplace experience and structured career planning.

NYSC Director General Brigadier General Olakunle Nafi'u expressed readiness to collaborate with the CIPM to focus on youth development.
