CEOs and HR Leaders Urged to Foster Inclusivity

At the CIPM 2026 CEO, CHRO, HRD Forum held in Lagos, Mallam Ahm Ladan Gobir, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPM, emphasized the need for organizations to focus on diversity and inclusion as a pathway to success. He noted that diverse leadership teams lead to better decision-making and innovation, which ultimately results in stronger business outcomes.

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Mr. Sunkanmi Olasunkanmi Oyegbola, Permanent Secretary of the Public Service Office, challenged organizations to assess diversity based on measurable outcomes rather than existing policies.

Mr. Roger Philipp Adou, Managing Director of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, described diversity and inclusion as business imperatives that require strong leadership commitment and clear organizational policies.

He highlighted the importance of promoting gender balance and psychological safety in the workplace. Dr.

Funk Adepoju from Staff College Nigeria ASCON urged organizations to create environments where employees genuinely feel they belong.
