CIPM Urges Workforce Transformation Ahead of Conference

The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management Nigeria (CIPM) has called on employers across both public and private sectors to rethink their workforce structures and prioritize human capital development in light of economic uncertainties and technological disruptions. This appeal was made by Mallam Ahm Gobir, the President and Chairman of the Governing Council of CIPM, ahead of the institute's 58th International Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for September 21-24, 2026, in Abuja.

Gobir emphasized the need for organizations to reassess their structures and strengthen workforce capabilities to align people strategies with broader business objectives. He noted that failure to adapt could leave organizations vulnerable in an increasingly competitive global economy.

The conference aims to provide a platform for HR professionals, business leaders, policymakers, and academics to explore practical solutions to workforce challenges and design strategies for long-term organizational success.
