Ganduje Rejects El-Rufai's Alleged Link to Dadiyata's Disappearance

Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, firmly rejected allegations that his counterpart, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State, was involved in the disappearance of activist Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Dadiyata. In a statement signed by Comrade Muhammad Garba, the former Commissioner for Information in Kano State, the allegations were described as reckless and unfounded, suggesting a political attempt to shift responsibility for the incident, which occurred entirely within Kaduna State.

Garba emphasized that Dadiyata was known for his direct criticism of the Kaduna State government and that there is no credible evidence linking him to Kano State governance. He called for scrutiny of El-Rufai's recent remarks and highlighted the importance of a transparent investigation into Dadiyata's disappearance.

Garba reiterated sympathy for Dadiyata's family and stressed that the focus should remain on uncovering the truth rather than politicizing the matter.
