Ganduje Denies El-Rufai's Claims on Dadiyata's Disappearance

Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the former governor of Kano State, strongly denied allegations made by former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai concerning the disappearance of Abubakar Idris Dadiyata.

In a statement signed by Muhammad Garba, a former commissioner for information in Kano, Ganduje labeled El-Rufai's claims as reckless and unfounded, asserting they were a clear attempt to shift responsibility for the incident that occurred in Kaduna State. The statement emphasized that Dadiyata was living in Kaduna and had been critical of the security response during his time there.

Ganduje questioned the basis of El-Rufai's allegations, insisting that serious accusations should be backed by verifiable evidence rather than political rhetoric. He urged that the focus should remain on legal investigations and justice for Dadiyata's family, warning against politicizing the unresolved matter.

El-Rufai, in a separate statement, denied any culpability in Dadiyata's disappearance, suggesting that Ganduje was responsible for the situation.
