Cleric Urges Action Against Attacks on Kaduna Christians

Apostle Glori Helen Ikeji, a Kaduna-based cleric, expressed deep concern over the persistent attacks on Christians in northern Nigeria during a telephone interview with Arewa Punch. She described the situation as dire, calling on President Bola Tinubu and northern governors to urgently address the violence against innocent Christians.

Ikeji highlighted that these unprovoked attacks, particularly during significant religious periods like Easter, are aimed at frustrating the Christian community. She urged the government to take decisive action against the perpetrators of these crimes to restore peace and security in the region.

Furthermore, she lamented the adverse effects of insecurity on agricultural activities, which have led to increased food prices. Ikeji also encouraged Christians to defend themselves amidst rising insecurity and reminded them of the hope symbolized by Easter, emphasizing the importance of faith in overcoming challenges.
