Anglican Bishop Familoni Urges Action Against Insecurity

In his Easter message, Anglican Bishop Olufemi Familoni of the Oyo South Diocese expressed grave concerns regarding the persistent insecurity in Nigeria, particularly in the Middle Belt region. He criticized the government's disregard for human life and questioned the effectiveness of the security budget, pointing out that despite significant financial allocations, insecurity continues to rise.

Familoni lamented the loss of lives to terrorist attacks and urged the government to stop politicizing security issues, emphasizing that the primary role of the government is to protect its citizens. He highlighted the spiritual significance of Easter, using the resurrection of Jesus as a metaphor for hope and renewal, and called on Nigerians to embrace love and faith in Christ to overcome challenges.
